Lite-Brite, Makin' Things With Light!

First up is the ever popular Lite Brite by Hasbro! You gotta love the simple idea here even if it was a pain in the backside to make these one-time masterpieces! My only real problem with the whole Lite Brite by Hasbro concept was the one-time use of the templates because after you pulled out the pegs you couldn't see what code was printed on the Lite Brite Tempate!

Anyway, it was still fun! Probably more fun than the Lite Brite Templates anyway was trying to make your own artwork. Boy, did I suck at that! If you miss the thrill of making your own you can always try out the Lite Brite Simulator at Hasbro's website. I just tried it again a few minutes ago and, well, I still suck! But it was fun!

If you are interested in finding a Lite Brite by Hasbro for yourself of your kids (or grandkids maybe!), one place I've had pretty good luck finding Classic Toys like this is BuyClassicToys.info. Its a shopping site that has a pretty dynamic inventory of classic toys like Lite Brite and some of our other favorites. Be sure to check them out.

Welcome

Hey, thanks for stopping by my new blog! This is really exciting, I'm on the Internet!!! Yeah!!!

I was going through a bunch of old boxes in the attic recently and came across a lot of old toys (some would say antique toys!) that really made me nostalgic. I though hey what a great topic for my first blog. Maybe somebody else played with the same kind of toy!

The picture is of an antique tin spinning top like one I found in the attic (sorry, don't have a digital camera yet). If you've never seen one the red handle on the top is a plunger that you can pull up and push down and it makes the top spin faster and faster. Cheap but Very Fun!

Anyway, I'm gonna get a camera and take some pics and post up as many as I can, just to help everyone remember. I Hope you enjoy it.
